Summer time is usually the time of year that the days seem longer and hotter. However, with added impacts of climate changes, summertime presents dangers as well. Generally speaking, when I think of summer especially in south Florida I think about fun family activities, traveling, family reunions, water play/sports, picnics and everything outdoors. I hope that this summer you continue to enjoy all of the summer activities safely.

Below list some safety tips for you to consider this summer.

Mosquitoes and ticks are more than just itchy and annoying — if infected, these pests can pose a major health risk to people by possibly transmitting diseases. Follow these tips to prevent mosquito and tick bites this summer:
